Vomitting blood question

QuestionsCategory: GeneralVomitting blood question

Salaam,
my son is 6 years old. Recently randomly one night he got up from his sleep and vomitted blood. Chunks and for 2 minutes. He has never done that before. We got him checked up and they ran all tests. Nothing was wrong with him. Since then he hasn’t vomitted blood but I have been having dreams of him being kidnapped, missing, and then throwing blood. Years back before my daughter was born, now she is 2, I had bad dreams about him too. Not sure what this all means

Note: A PDF with the duʿāʾ and āyahs mentioned in this answer can be found here: Children Having Scary Dreams.

As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-raḥmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

These incidents and dreams indicate that someone is very jealous of your family due to your children. It is likely that it is someone close to you who themselves is having difficulty having children. On a daily basis recite the following and blow on your children:

  1. You should recite the Manzil (click here) aloud with the entire family present. The children should be present and listening. The Manzil is a collection of āyahs from the Qurʾān which are a means of protection from many harms and evils.

  1. Prior to reading the manzil, start by reading the duʿāʾ that Rasūlullāh ﷺ read on Ḥasan and Ḥusayn رضي الله عنهما, and Ibrāhīm عليه السلام read on Ismāʿīl and Isḥāq عليهما السلام (Bukhārī)[1]:

اُعِيْذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كَلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّة

“I seek refuge for both of you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous thing and from the evil eye which influences.”

  1. At bedtime, the duʿāʾs of Ibrāhīm عليه السلام for his children should be recited on the children. These are āyahs 35-41 of Sūrah Ibrāhīm (sūrah 14). Due to formatting issues, the āyahs were not included in the text of this response. However, a PDF of this answer has been attached to this answer, and these āyahs can be found there.

  1. Read the duʿāʾ from #2 on your children at bedtime.

May Allāh ﷻ protect you, your family, and your children, and save as all from jealousy and the evil eye.
