Tawheed Center’s Hifz School is a rigorous program in which students memorize the Holy Quran in an average of three to four years. Experienced teachers are appointed to not only help students concentrate on memorization of the Holy Quran, but to also build and develop good character.

Our Hifz classes are five and half hours Monday through Friday and three hours on Saturdays. During this time, students memorize new lessons while also reviewing their previously memorized ajzaa.

Along with their Quranic studies, Tawheed Center wishes that our students succeed in their secular studies as well. Students are given several hours a day at school (along with work that they complete at home) to focus on their academics.

By the Grace of Allah, since Tawheed Center Hifz School’s inception in 2006:

  • 50+ boys have graduated.
  • 7 girls have graduated.
  • 1 student recited the entire Quran in one day.
  • 20+ graduates are leading taraweeh in local masjids or homes.
  • 9 students have begun alim course on a part time basis.

Our Graduates

Alhamdulillah, many of our graduates have gone on to excel in a variety of fields. These include:

  • Graduating with distinction from rigorous high school programs such as International Academy (IA) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program
  • Graduating from prestigious universities such as the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and Wayne State University.
  • Pursuing higher education in challenging fields such as medicine, engineering and architecture.

The timings are from 8:20 am – 4:30 pm Monday-Friday and 11 am – 2 pm on Saturdays. A holiday schedule is sent to parents at the beginning of the academic year.

Admission Criteria and Process

The Hifz program is open to boys and girls (separate classes) from ages 8-13. Students must be in at least third grade in order to be considered for acceptance. After downloading and completing the application form from the links below, please call Hafiz Wahaaj at (770) 866-1992. An interview will be arranged which will include a test of the student’s reading of Quran for both fluency and tajweed. Based on the results of this tests students may either be accepted into the program or referred to our Afternoon Quran Program (Maktab) in order to bring their tajweed and reading up to the standards required for acceptance into the Hifz program.
